Edwina Nunez-Gordon is Caveo’s PMO Manager and formerly Deputy Director of Instructional Design at the CUNY School of Professional Studies. Having over ten years of experience working in learning and development, the majority of her career has been spent leading teams in the development of training departments. Edwina’s biggest impact has come from fostering cultural change within organizations by driving tough conversations and implementing effective solutions for process and programs. Edwina holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology and is a certified project manager.

Outside of work, Edwina spends her time with her husband, two human children, and one canine child; loves exploring new activities in the city; and as an avid obstacle course racer, she enjoys the occasional mud run.

Heidi has more than 20 years of experience as a learning and development professional. Her background includes roles in sales, management, instructional design, eLearning development, and facilitation. As a board member of ATD Kansas City, Heidi seeks ways to connect and give back to her professional community. She is a social studies education graduate from Purdue University (possibly still holding a bit of a grudge for losing out on teaching jobs to basketball coaches). Linda Cronk is a communications specialist for Iowa State University’s Environmental Health and Safety division, which provides training for employees and students, plus an outreach program providing training to private companies. A Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP) and a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Cronk supports the learning management system, which involves project management for feature custom development, technical and customer care support, designing and assigning permissions, and providing training on those permissions. She holds a master’s in industrial and agricultural technology from Iowa State University.

CUNY Learning Leader on Business Skills, Keys to Successful L&D

L. Patrick Dail is the director of workplace learning with the School of Professional Studies at the City University of New York. Dail manages teams charged with designing, developing, and facilitating learning and development programs for New York City agencies on topics ranging from emergency preparedness and business continuity to energy efficiency and child welfare. A Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP), he's spent 15 years in training and professional development roles within higher education, and is a former president of the New York City Chapter of the Association for Talent Development. He holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor's in European history from McDaniel College in Maryland, and is pursuing a doctorate at Columbia University. His career focus at the moment is based on neuroscience—how adults make meaning of new information and translate that into practical wisdom, in order to better understand how to structure adult learning interventions to effect behavior change in workflow.

Stacey Gardner is a senior L&D specialist with Microsoft. She has been involved with learning and development dating back to her days as a Pizza Hut shift manager 17 years ago, training every new employee on how to ready the pizza dough, make delicious pizzas, and deliver successfully for customers. With Microsoft since 2011, she considers it an honor to help sales teams, marketers, consultants, and more.
